Computer specs:
-Toshiva stellite laptop
-Duo processor t5550
-3 gigb of ram
This is the second time it happens so just reinstalling ubunto wont do and i have a lot school data i cant lose.
So here is my problem once i get pass the logon screen the computer just stops, this occurred after i "fixed" tree error i used to get, the first been:
- /home/user/.ICEauthority coold not be created please chek your permissions
, the second been:
- gconf-sanity-check-2 returned exit value 256
And the third was that it would tell me that nautilus could not create certain folder
- ???
What i did to "FIX" these problems was to delete nautilus and reinstall it after restart; Then change the owner of .ICEauthority and give it read & write permissions.
Ps I did all of this by pressing ctrl+alt+F1 then using terminal and right now im running the trial version of ubunto on a dvd disk.
