Hello

I know one can do it in Windows XP & 7.
But I thought it was possible in Ubuntu 10.10.

In Windows you just hold down the Ctrl and scroll with your middle mouse button and one can change the size of your icons.

I just did a reinstall of my Ubuntu 10.10 and I can't remember if it had that feature in Ubunutu or in one of the Compiz manager settings?

Am I crazy or am I getting the OS's mixed up?

Thank you.

You can resize with Ctr + Scroll in both Firefox and Chromium browsers as well as an open windows of the file manager Nautilus. In 10.10, the all icons on your desktop are managed by Nautilus (not Compiz) and hence you should be able to resize them. However, you may have to go into the settings for Nautilus, as opposed to using the shortcut (there may be a conflict between Compiz and Nautilus desktop).

Just click in the file browser window and then press Ctrl and scroll. It does work - I just tested it.
