My wife's laptop has a strange (and extremely annoying) quirk.
The top panel does not refresh properly. All of the drop down menus still work but the clock stays several minutes behind the actual time, icons on the workspace switcher do not show newly opened programs, and the battery icon does not accurately show how much battery life is left.
OS: Ubuntu 10.04
Laptop Model: Hp Pavilion DM1 Netbook
It has an ATI card that doesn't appear to work well in linux. It works well enough for playing video and surfing the web but has trouble handling any 3D rendering. Could the drivers be to blame or is this a bug in Ubuntu?
