View Full Version : Ubuntu 11.04 64 bit on intel laptop?

Hi, i would like to install ubuntu 11.04 on my new laptop that have cpu intel core i5.
I saw the iso a 64 bit is for AMD processor; is possible to install on intel machines?
There may be problems or I can go quietly?

The 64 bit is not only for AMD machines. And if you have an Intel Core i5 you should be fine using the 64 bit version.

IMHO, always a good idea to try live cd's BEFORE attempting the full install.A great laptop resource resides here:
