I've two problems...

1. Facebook login... When I pull the page in any manner, I've an apostrophe (') that appears and disappears
quickly at my login. (user name or email label) What is that?

2. When I use BleachBIT, I get a non access error. (13) and a few others. What is that?

I'd like a very good understandable eraser for Ubuntu 11.04 and upcoming.
Please honestly, HELP,
~TR

1. I've never seen anything like that. Using Facebook on Ubuntu is no different than using Facebook on any other OS. Are you sure you don't get this same behavior on Windows/Mac when using the same browser (Firefox?)
2. What is the exact error Bleachbit is giving you? Search Google for Bleachbit and the error and see if anyone else is getting that error.

I've never seen it before, either. I've heard rumors of hacking. It has to do with http or https. I now
know that doesn't matter. I'm thinking it's browser. (Firefox 5.0) I don't know how to fix that, yet. Or
if Mozilla knows that it exists. It's incessant here! Or it's
Ubuntu. I don't think it is. I don't know what to approach. I know I've been hacked, I don't know why
or how, but I can't find it. I don't use "windows", can't afford Mac, "on line", only Linux. So far it's the
most secure with minimal work...

Error 13... I should have access to my own computer in every way... I'm missing something. I don't
wish to erase and restart anymore. I'll have to reboot, offline, and run bleach bit to give you the other
various oddball errors. The computer acts like I'm not in charge. This is very disconcerting. I'd like a very
efficient means to "erase", without ungodly work. I'm kind of busy. It appears Bleach Bit isn't.

I'm not the only one that uses this computer. It's very difficult to find the or the errors. I'm eye weary.
Please help, and mega thanks for responding,
~TR

If you believe your computer has been hacked then you should be very wary of what you do on it. You shouldn't try to log into any website on that machine.
Your best bet is a reinstall. If you really don't wish to reinstall you should try posting in a different forum here, one that gets more traffic. The "Florida Team - US" forum will just get you those few that pay attention here, which isn't too many.

Misquad,

I truly thank you for your help and information.

Can you explain this statement...

swapoff: not a superuser

There is or are no swapping allowed on my computers, unless
I've made an egregious error that I don't understand.

This is my 2nd attempt to send this to you within this forum.
Stated error...
1. The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters.
What's with this?

Could you give a little more description of what you are doing. Just an error is not enough to know what's going on. What steps are you taking, or trying to take, that is causing the error to be thrown. Also, if you had one thread per issue, that would make troubleshooting a lot easier.
Posting these questions in a more general forum would help you get your questions addressed as those forums have a lot more traffic, and probably more knowledgeable people on your issues, than posting them here in the South-East forum.
