Hey all,

Just received this laptop. Wireless works...barely. No floppy or CD drive. Has XP installed currently. I want to over-write this with Lubuntu. Whats my course of action? I would run under WUBI, but it seems I'm running right up against the minimum requirements, which doesn't bode well for performance.

Please, post what are the specs (ram, cpu, hd space... the more info the better). Without that any advice would be a shot in the dark.
You said no CD drive, this is worrying as I'm afraid this oldie can't boot from usb.

Also you should understand: "to over-write XP with Lubuntu" isn't compatible with the wubi approach. I wouldn't in principle recommend using wubi anyway.
