Hi everyone,
I currently have Jolicloud OS installed on my niece's Dell Inspiron 10v (1101) and am trying to install Edubuntu to try out. Booting the liveCD from a usb and everything is fine until a couple minutes into the installation where I get a black screen with a bunch of scrolling text afterwards. This goes on for a bit until the end where it says a directory is missing.
I have searched for hours on google and this board for answers but have come up with none. I saw another poster with a similar problem but his was colored stripes?
I've compared the checksums and they match and I've tried pressing F6 to do "nomodeset" but that option isn't available and all I get is a beep from the netbook.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
