Hello every one, yesterday i downloaded (from nvidia website ) and installed the 280.13 drivers [hard mode: using tty1]
I stop gdm OK.
I run the file OK.
It install fine and then i restart gdm using "sudo start gdm".
Then i reboot , and here comes the problem: gdm don't start ( it stop on a "checking battery state ... ").
I try to start it manually via tty but it doesn't start.
To make it works i need to completely reinstall the driver and then using start gdm again.
Any hint?
Before i was using the 270.41.06 driver, and it worked fine.
I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 ( Kernel 2.6.38-10-generic-pae )
