I am currently using Ubuntu 11.04 but Im getting tired of Unity.. I havent had any problems with it or anything but its just not for me. So i was wondering what would be better to use 10.04 LTS or 10.10 or any other suggestions.

10.10 definitely, faster and smoother, less buggy, better hardware compatibility out of the box. Unless you are running legacy hardware I wouldn't recommend 10.04. 10.10 is at a very sweet spot right now, it is stable since it has been out for a while but it is still up to date with tons of ppa supports.

P.S. If you have no problem with 11.04 other than Unity you should simply switch to the classic desktop as I think functionally 11.04 is the best of all three, it is the most up to date and is quite stable by now.

Switch over at login screen to Ubuntu classic in 11.04 is stable.

With some tweaking it can be exactly the same. It's only about two packages to remove and then it ends off being the same.

Been running 10.04 LTS since release. Rock solid, does everything I need and want to do with a 'puter.
Best integrated personal computing system I have ever seen, heard of or worked with. Ain't changing, probably keep going with it for the next 5 - 10 years.

+1

I stuck with Hardy 8.04 till Lucid, as 8.10 didn't want to play with my pc.

But there again, I have tried 10.10 in Lubuntu as well as Ubuntu and I do agreed its pretty good, so either one you go with I don't think you'll go far wrong!
