Hi there I like to see some show online. But one of these sites uses Silverlight technology instead of flash. I know you can use moonlight to play the movie in the browser. I'd like to know if it's possible to extract the movie from the chace folder so that i can use mplayer or vlc to watch it?

Siverlight is an .exe , so it would require Wine to run . I don't if extracting a program / movie from the cache would be legal .

I know that the Sky News player here in the UK offers a Linux download of Silverlight. I did this but found the plugin didn't work with Firefox. I opened the same page in Google's Chrome browser and it works!

You may run into digital rights issues if you try to run Sky in the US .
