Hey guys

ok basically, i run a nice smooth AMD Phenom 2 955 Quad-Core processor and i read a post saying that the k7 kernel may support AMD Processors better and improve performance

Now i was wondering with 11.04 having the newer kernels .39 / 38 etc if its worth installing K7 and what it is exactly. and how it effects the kernel

like for example, most kernels with ubuntu versions are PAE enabled. im wondering if K7 is because i run 32bit PAE with 4GB of ram

and would dist-upgrade effect adding a custom kernel like K7

i know the use of dist-upgrade and how useful it is in fixing most problems

dont know where you have found this "k7" post, but it might be from prehistory log (you should pay attention at the date :))

a quad core is a k10 design and actual linux kernel works with those harware of course, dont worry.
