extending desktop view area

Hi,

I want to extend the view area.

I have seen one device where view area was bigger than the monitor size.

by dragging the mouse , desktop view area was scrolled left, right top & bottom.

i have seen many application running in the desktop and by dragging I was able extend the views. so all the running applications were moving all side.

similar to android device but here all running applications views were moving all side.

how I can do that?
