Unity Progress Report - Alt-Tab style



A look at the progress that has been made in Unity for the past week with a special look at the new alt-tab style that will be landing in Oneiric. Unity Contributors contributions, bugs fixed in Oneiric as well as steps on how to get involved round up this report.

New ISO images available : Lubuntu



Julien Lavergne shares the news of the latest ISOs of Lubuntu which are now available at http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/lubuntu/. Julien also mentions that he hopes that the next release of Lubuntu will be the first official release of Lubuntu as part of the Ubuntu family.

Ubuntu 11.10 Development update



Next week the 3rd Alpha of Ubuntu 11.10 is due and everybody is trying to get ready for the release. The switch from Gnome 2.32 in Ubuntu 11.04 to Gnome 3 for Ubuntu 11.10 is going really well with the Gnome 3 team consisting of mostly non-Canonical contributors. Also meet a new contributor, Christian Titze from Germany.
