Hey, do any of you know of any good tutorials (for GIMP preferably) to make Mac OS X-like wallpapers like the following?

the aqua wallpapers are just shapes and gradients.
Create a gradient..
create some circular shapes and add white-->0% opacity gradient
repeat remix with different colors
