View Full Version : PAE to 64-bit Upgrade Issue (Ubuntu 11.04)

I'm on a Macbook Pro i5 (6,2). Everything works on the Live CD. After removing the PAE kernel from Synaptic Package Manager and installing the 64 bit generic kernel my keyboard and mouse do not work.

The display drivers seem to be working and it shows a graphical ubuntu login. When I put in a external USB keyboard it still will not work and also when I press Function-F2 to get a command line that also will not work.

How do I re-install all the packages with apt-get from the command line without re-installing Ubuntu? Should I do this or just re-install the desktop from the command line? How do I do this from the Live CD?
