I have 64 natty installed. Using classic desktop and gt220 nvidia geforce card in twinview dual mon mode.
brand new installation with updates.
i get a black screen randomly about 10 times a day. Nothing will wake it up. No pings reach the machine either.
i think its an inifinte loop beause i was watching a movie, crash, blank screen and i heard the audio stuck in a loop!
i thought it was some "vblank sync" or "dpms" issue as per forums so installed the proposed 2.6.38-11-generic kernel. No luck.
this whole thing started happening after the .38 update about 2 weeks ago.

EDIT: UPDATE - 20110728 - it seems if i turn on a GL screensaver i get this lockup. will try a non-GL screensaver.
