webcam too dark

Have gone through lot many threads here but nothing helped. All of them were very old as well. Has somebody managed to make it work?

I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 and Logitech QuickCam

have you tried qcset from the qc-usb-utils package?

I've just installed it but how should i run it?

try "qcset -i" and "qcset -r" first. then try "qcset -b xxx" (see 'man qcset')
