Hi,

As I installed Ubuntu 11.04 on my desktop computer (belongside Win XP), I remarked that after a few minutes using the system my screen freeze. I had no mouse-movement and no chance to restart de system (I tried ctrl+alt+backspace and also alt+sysrq+R-E-I-S-U-B). I just could turn off the power.
I first thought, this is a problem with the new release. I installed the Ubuntu 10.04 (the same as I have on my netbook and there it works fine) but I had the same problem. I reinstalled it maybe 3 times and used the system without my Nvidia graphic card (only with the graphic chip on the mainboard) but it doesn't worked.
- no movement of the mouse
- no chance to restart the system carefully
- videos and music is replaing the last 3 seconds all the time.

Does somebody know a solution?

thanking you in anticipation for your helpfull answers!
