Hi,
I recently updated my system. The Update manager made the following changes:
dbus (1.2.16-2ubuntu4.2) to 1.2.16-2ubuntu4.3
dbus-x11 (1.2.16-2ubuntu4.2) to 1.2.16-2ubuntu4.3
libdbus-1-3 (1.2.16-2ubuntu4.2) to 1.2.16-2ubuntu4.3
libpng12-0 (1.2.42-1ubuntu2.1) to 1.2.42-1ubuntu2.2
libpng12-dev (1.2.42-1ubuntu2.1) to 1.2.42-1ubuntu2.2

I observe an increased startup time, and unusual amount of harddisk activity during startup. Also, it just feels that starting applications takes longer time now. Are other people experiencing the same?
I am thinking of reverting back using the Synaptic Package Manager. Should I try it out?
Regards.

is it with lucid ? (dbus 1.4.12 on Oneiric, and no trouble)

Thats correct. I am on 10.04. Do you think I should try to revert back using Synaptic? If yes, how should I go about it?
