This is my first post in the forum :) . I m new to ubuntu and guys please help me urgently as i don't want to use Windows for even a moment now .

I was upgrading ubuntu 10.10 to 11.04 via the update manager . My comp swithed off during the "installation of new package " phase ( i forgot that it was on battery )
Since then i m unable to boot ubuntu . After the grub menu , i get the following message

init:udevtrigger main process (378) terminated with status 1.
init:udevtrigger post-step process (384) terminated with status 1.
init:udevmonitor main process (327) Killed my TERM signal.
The disk drive for / is not ready yet or not present .
Then it asks to enter S (skip mounting) or M (manual recovery);

Pressing S displays

The disk drive for /tmp is not ready yet or not present .
mountall: Plymouth command failed
mountall:Disconnected from Plymouth
And the comp gets stucks there itself

Thanks in advance
