Hi,

Posting this from my Mac.

Having trouble on my desktop.
intel core i3, Ubuntu 11.4 with Apache2+mysql+php5+phpmyadmin.
There is no other operating system installed.

Trouble began after installing Japanese font package. And at the same time, in preferences I changed to 'Do not require password when logging in'

I get 3 error messages after logging in (no password)

1. could not update ICEauthority file/my user name here/.ICE authority.
XClose

on closing

2. There is a problem with the configuration server (/usr/lib/libg config2-4/gconf-sanity-check-2 exited with status 256
XClose
On closing
3. Nautilus could not create the following required folders: /home/my user name here/Desktop,/home/my user name here/.natulis

Before running nautilus, please create those folders or set permissions such that nautilus can create them.

***Then I get a blank screne an I cannot access my hard drive.
I've tried using my cd. It gives me the usual option of run alongside or install.

If this is not a bug I will reinstall from scratch.

But first I would like to know if there is a way to recover my files? Is it a bug? And to avoid the same problem in the future, is it because I changed the log in option/installed the Japanese fonts.

Many thanks.

Thanks
