I cannot install Ubuntu 11.04 on the Rocketraid 2310.
I was able to build the module from the driver's source using the explanation here (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RocketRaid).
But I cannot make it work.
From previous experience I know that first I have to remove the sata_mv module. But when I try to do this under 11.04 the system completely freezes (there was no such problem under 10.10 and earlier).
If I simply insert the module, the controller starts beeping, indicating the controller is not working properly.

Any ideas?

directly ask devs about that issue, and maybe report bug

The only answer I got from the askubuntu.com was (http://askubuntu.com/questions/54554/cannot-install-ubuntu-11-04-on-the-rocketraid-2310) some statement that the Ubuntu 11.04 kernel is not stable and I should wait for 11.10. Not really helpful.

Any other ideas maybe?
