I want to configure my emacs for python development.
Any suggestions? I dont have admin rights on the system.

i tried to use pymacs but confused in terms of configuing my emacs for its support.

Uh... the usual way is to install python-mode from the repos (that installs pymacs automatically), but you don't have admin rights.

A first option that comes to mind is that you ask the admin to install it. Tell him your reasons, ask him politely and he would probably install it. I can't see any reasonable risk associated with installing those packages.

This guy has a nice bunch of preconfigured python tools for emacs. I've been using it lately since I didn't want to individually configuring things:

It's very easy to install.
