View Full Version : [ubuntu] Problem after installing ubuntu 11.04...

Hi every one ,i am new to this forum..
i got a problem while after installing ubuntu 11.04, inside windows7..
When the system restarts after installing ubuntu
The message like this get displays
"Hardware requirement fail,login with classical ubuntu...:confused:"
Wat it means??,
i got P4 processor with 2GB ram and 256MB nvidia graphic card...
And also i have allocated 8GB space for ubuntu..
Wat should i do to get rid of it??
even i am not getting the side bar too:(

You need to boot to the Ubuntu Classic desktop session and install the proprietary drivers for you video card by going to System->Administration->Additional Drivers. Then choose a video card driver and click activate. After it finishes installing the driver it will ask you to restart the computer. When you boot back up choose Ubuntu as your desktop session from the bar at the bottom (this is after you click your name but before you confirm). Now you should be in the Unity desktop environment.
