Hi all,
I'm having problems bringing up anything other than the install screen.
I've downloaded ubuntu-10.04.3-desktop-amd64.iso and made my USB bootable.
I've seen documentation about hitting F6 and selecting 'nomodeset' but I can't find that anywhere. The screenshots show a purple screen with a bunch of options at the bottom. My install screen does not have that. It's black with a white Ubuntu logo with only a few main options: run live, install ubuntu, boot from first hard disk, advanced options (which has nothing behind it), and help.
Upon going to Help and pressing F6 I am greated with the option to boot Ubuntu differently.
I've tried the option where is says "Screen Display Issues" vga=771
boot: live vga=771
and I still get the same issue of a black screen. it loads since randomly clicking around in live makes the USB read and blink like crazy.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
