smart card authentication for wpa supplicant

i would like to have suggestions regarding hardware for smart card authentication of wpa supplicant in my ubuntu lucid machine. i welcome suggestions about the hardware which supports supplicant's authentication, so that i can try smartcard authentication for my network access.
