I'm running Natty on a Sony Vaio VPCF115FM. I use the "classic" GNOME desktop. Gnome, under the previous NVIDIA drivers and under the current version 275.21, is extremely buggy. I don't really know if it's a video driver issue or a GNOME issue.
Here's what happens: Natty apps from the "system" menu all locate themselves in the upper left had corner of the screen and cannot be dragged to other locations. They're stuck there. Other apps wind up in various places but there is no min/max buttons on the title bar- and they can't be moved by dragging, like a window should.
Occasionally an app will act normal but rarely.
Your help will be appreciated.

Try using the 270.41 driver.

Hi, you need to have compiz settings manager installed then go into it and make sure move windows is checked.

Also compiz does not work well in classic here is a link for that issue.

Post back with more details after you have done the other suggestions.

Wildmanne,
Thanks for the advice. I've now got Gnome working like it should. I don't, for now, have to resort to Unity (although I may as well spend the weekend learning it).
