I want to install a watermark plugin: http://registry.gimp.org/plugin?id=2663

The file downloads as watermark.scm

I've searched the help file and the web and cannot find how I actually install/use the plugin.

Can anyone help?

You would probably get more help in one of the tech support forums, rather than a general chat forum.

Copy the script to the .gimp-2.2/scripts folder (might depend on which version you are running). And Robert's your mother's brother etc etc :)

Ta for pointing out the link by the way - have installed it and it works perfectly!

May be a late reply, but two things.
1. Here is the best way to install a plugin. Since the directories may change b/w platforms or versions, finding the directory from gimp itself is the best way.

2. There is also an imagewatermark plugin that provides more flexibility by allowing you to add your logo or any image you like similar to the text watermark plugin. Could be used if you intend to do more beautiful watermarks.
