I ran Disk Utility and deleted 4.6GB and 2.6MB?
The main partition is okay (a 115 GB Filesystem Linux Ext4)

Some gnome programs like Nautilus stopped working. I have to press Esc to get recovery shell before gnome login would even show on screen.

Would it help if I find out what the partitions are for?

I've looked around the forums but haven't been able to figure out I could get away without reinstalling ubuntu altogether.

Is anything missing? Do all your operating systems boot ok?

Thread closed. Please do not post duplicates, it dilutes community effort.
Is what I normally post in duplicate threads - this time I have merged them and only so that Quackers has a bit more information.

I would add that opening an application and deleting them and then asking us what they were for seems a bit odd.
