i have Dell Inspiron n5010. i have insalled kubuntu on my system. after that i also added Gnome desktop enviroment. but i am having a Hibernation Problem in Ubuntu.

whenever i hibernate the computer, whether i do it in Gnome or Kde, most of the time it doesn't work. after, hibernation when i again turn on my system, it usually restarts again. the other problem cause of hibernation i face are...
1. volume automatically turned to MUTE.
2. Gnome intereface don't work. means when i logged in UBUNTU, it show only Blank Desktop on the screen, nothing else. but if i log in "ubuntu classic" it works well.
3. Banshee media player doesn't work correctly...existing playlist always fail to play. i have to import it again everytime...

anyone can help.....:(:(

What graphics card is installed in the system and, if it is ATI or nVidia, what driver do you use. Often, hibernation problems are related to graphics card/driver.
