Hi

Whenever I suspend the laptop, it freezes (get a black screen with the caps and num lock keys flashing continuously) and it overheats, it doesn't turn if I reboot immeadiatly, I have to wait a couple of minutes for it to cool down before it turns on properly.

Running 11.04 64 on a an HP DV7-3112sa

Anyone have any advice?

Currently waiting to get help for myself lol

When those lamps flash it usually means the system is unable to continue with what... it was doing.

Maybe you should hibernate before it overheats? Try using the option "Save session on shutdown" somewhere in the systempref's.
