Hi people, first time here and new to Ubuntu/Linux.
I dunno if this is a problem or not but its annoying to me.I use nautilus in browser mode and in tree view. I usually open it with Win + Q or super +Q shortcut(if it matters).
Thing is that when moving on side pane nautilus automatically selects right pane whenever i stop moving so i can't for example just see folder contents and move along without pressing tab few times?!
To put it differently,if i m moving cursor in side pane it will stay there but as soon as i stop it jumps to right pane and selects whatever is there.

I forgot to mention its the same with thunar and gnome commander.

I would really like it to stay on side pane :(

Any ideas are most welcome because i am thinking of going back to windows .

PS :just a joke :D

Well, if you are in the side panel and select something else, like a new folder in the treeview, you can activate it with the space bar.

PS. I think that is fine, you wouldn't want to load everything from samba or an optical drive, to be able to browse onward.

Hi An Sanct and thanks for prompt reply.Thing is i don't mind to expand folder with space (its hard to miss key so no problem :) ) .That part is ok but what is annoying is when i open nautilus ,Home Folder is selected and press down arrow instead of going to file System it goes to right pane.

This is what it looks after opening and pressing down key

I checked in nautilus ui .xml files to try to increase some delay or something but couldn't find anything.

Thanks for your time
