Trying to come back to Ubuntu.

Downloaded the Universal USB installer and run it. Its asking for the iso file in the step where I select the distro......

Where do I get the iso file from? It hasn't told me to download it from anywhere?

You have to have the ISO file already downloaded. It's your choice from where you will download it:

you need to download the distro iso file first. the usb installer extracts packages from this iso file, and then lets you install it.
iso will be nearly 700mb file.

If you haven't already downloaded the actuall ISO file, then you can do it here on the Ubuntu page (http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/download). Just select which version you want and your browser should store it wherever it normally stores downloads on your system.

I hope this helps,

Thank you all.

iso found and usb stick created.

I was unable to boot from it though so I will now try burning it to a DVD (no CDs in the house)
