For instance in irc typing text - ctrl-a the text doesn't highlight anymore. Url bar - type ctrl-a should block the text highlighted
but you see the highlight flash then it disappears. That's why I think it's something going wrong with gnome. The highlighting works within text entry of a page within a browser.
I think this is related to x2x (controlling mouse on multiple screens) ... stop x2x ctrl-a works fine again. Problem seems to appear as you use x2x.
