The idea of this thread is to consolidate / track (and resolve?) those seemingly unresolvable challenges (with links to active threads, if available) that keep your system from being pitch perfect. These could be issues that are already listed as bugs, elsewhere, and/or items you think ubunutu developers should address in future updates/releases.

I've been using xubuntu since Edgy (6.10) and am currently xubuntu Natty (11.04).

The issues that continue to nag me:

1. Gnumeric cut and paste (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1801435).
2. Adobe Reader as Firefox plugin (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1627251&highlight=acroread+firefox).

If these issues were resolved, my system would be in (near) perfect order (for my particular requirements).

Should you wish to comment on someone's issue, click on the issue (if it has a link) and reply via the linked thread.

As other issues arise, I'll add them here.

As my listed issues are resolved, I'll mark them [SOLVED]....

adobe reader can easily be dropped, no need for it, there are lot of similar "free" packages.

dino99 - thanks for the note. In my case I am using Adobe Reader as a "proof of concept" tool. I do web development using xubuntu - build downloadable .pdfs with inkscape (or other linux utilities) and want to be "certain" that the .pdfs are downloadable / readable / printable with the .pdf downloader / reader / printer (Adobe) that windows and mac users are most likely to deploy.... My preferred .pdf downloader / reader / printer is actually, xpdf - however, it seems "my particular requirements" call for Adobe....
