I have worked with 'windows movie maker' before and found it very good for what I need it for. Is there a similar program in linux which lets you capture from a TV card, edit the clip (not in great detail, just trim it abit) and add titles/credits? and then save as some form of movie file?

Thanks

Hi there.

THere is an App called Kino and DVGrab, wich is very good at editing and adding special effects etc. I think ( not sure ) that its going to be included in the Ubuntu Hoary Hedgehog release.
But if not you can just use Synaptic to get and install the package.
You can also go view http://kino.schirmacher.de/

The capturing from TV I'm not sure maybe someone else know of such an app?
