I tried to install Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot Alpha 2 and it was freezing on booting.
Tried to re-install Ubuntu 11.04 and wasn't able to boot as well.
Then installed Kubuntu 11.04 and it booted just fine. Installed unity-2d and lubuntu-desktop and they worked fine.
After installing the latest updates yesterday including the kernel 2.6.38-10 (was 2.6.38-8), I can not boot anymore no matter whether I use 2.6.38-10 or 2.6.38-8. Ubuntu freezes even in the recovery mode.
