Hi,

I found on one of my old PCs Ubuntu 9.04 installed.
I wanted to upgrade it and I get the following.

From Update Manager I cannot upgrade to 10.04

I get the following message:
An upgrade from 'jaunty' to 'lucid' is not supported with this tool.

Same message following the instructions from the link:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LucidUpgrades

and using the line

sudo do-release-upgrade

Is there a way to get this update or should I use a 10.04 LiveCD.

Thanks for your input.

R.

Personally I would do a fresh install from the 10.04 Live CD.

However, an upgrade should be possible following these instructions:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EOLUpgrades

I initially misread the title and thought you said you wanted to upgrade 9.04 to 11.04.

To put it diplomatically, I'm glad you are smart enough to avoid attempting something as laughably ill-advised as that would be. :lolflag:

FYI: I did a fresh install via CD Live.
Interesting link from snowpine.
Thanks for the feedback!
