Hi, I am supposed to make a gzip out of this code in order to install a driver

http://pub.brother.com/pub/com/bsc/linux/dlf/linux-brprinter-installer-1.0.3-1.gz

And follow these instructions:

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/5976666/the_retail_detail_brother_releases.html?cat=15

But I can't make the gz properly, can someone help me out?

What's the name of the printer you have. Even if you create a .tar.gz package it probably won't work due to the fact that it was built with nixstaller which is why you see the weird code in their. It's packages within packages.

Hello I have a brother dcp 115c, I think I've downloaded it already... Yet I would love to have it fully installed!
