I decided to upgrade my ubuntu server to natty (newest 64 bit version). I upgraded my server and everything worked ok but i decided i wanted a bigger hard drive. During install on the new drive, it had trouble auto configuring the NIC to dhcp. I had to set it manually. Setting the NIC to a static IP which I wanted to do anyways, works but every so often the server just loses connection. If I do /etc/init.d/networking restart it will restart but i still wont get a connection. Only way seems to be to unplug the ethernet cable and plug it back in.

I wonder if that issue with setup means i have something wrong with my NIC.

Any ideas?
