View Full Version : include software from ubuntu software center

i have re installed ubuntu linux 11.04 now i have copied those softwares that i have in my linux from ubuntu software software center.i have changed the permessions of ubuntu var/cache/apt/ and copied the softwares.
tell me how to inlcude them.i have restart the system twice.

What software ? , the reason I ask is bcause there are some applications run in the terminal . If you have installed via the software center using the install option the applications should be ready to use . If you have download the software packages directly from the software website they need to be installed via a package installer , such as the software center or GDebi package installer . The simple method is to use the install option in the software center .

If the packages are installed correctly and you have changed permissions to run as root , they will need to be started from the terminal using
sudo application name and then a password will be required .
