Acer TimelineX 3820TG - BIOS upgrade

My Acer Aspire TimelineX 3820tg came with BIOS version 1.08.
I've tried to upgrade it using the instructions in this post

and downloading the BIOS from

http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/content/drivers

When I try to update BIOS after the first step

flash.bat

when I chose to update it stops the process with this message

DC not found

I really don't know how to solve this. The only thing is that I've got no more Windows on the laptop, only Ubuntu, maybe the programs try to found the windows partition and doesn't find it...

Anybody can help?

Only follow Acer instructions, and read their forum too . Flashing bios is a risky aventure, you might know what you are doing.

I would love that Acer tells me how to upgrade the bios, but I cannot find it.
I can only find the official bios, in the download area... and it doesn't work, it seems...
