Roll back Nvidia graphics driver?

Before gaming today I installed an automatic nvidia update, and since then I have had problems with a game I play which I did not have before the update, a regression.

Is there anyway to check exactly what was changed with that automatic update, and further, a way to roll back to my previous configuration?

if the cache have not been cleared, you should find the previous driver, select it into synaptic, then into the menu, select "package" then "force the version"

otherwise look into /var/cache/apt/archives/
