Vodafone mobile broadband. Slower than vodafone on windows?

Hi.

I have managed to instal vodafone on ubuntu but it is really slow.

I installed it using the standard network manager and entering the network details manually.

Any ideas why it could be slow on ubuntu but quick on windows?
