Need help with kubuntu/ubuntu startup.

I am currently using an Asus G60 64bit i5 laptop with Win7 and xubuntu installed. Xubuntu 10.04 works fine and I've used the kubuntu ubuntu 11.04 on other computers and it works fine, but when I try to go into the desktop it ends up a jumbeled mess of random pixels:confused:. All help appreciated.

if you can see enough to navigate, i would go to system> additional drivers> install latest nvidia driver.
