Hi all,

I've been trying to create a bootable usb from a Windows XP installation ISO and load it, all on a machine that only has Ubuntu installed.

I used gparted to reformat the USB to NTFS and flag it as bootable, then extracted the ISO to the USB. When I tried to boot from the USB, I recieved the error message "BOOTMGR NOT FOUND / PRESS CTRL + ALT + DELETE TO RESTART."

Anybody know what's wrong, at least, if not how to fix it? Thanks for your help in advance.

Welcome to the forums Semotus! I suggest you contact Microsoft directly for tech support with your legally-purchased Windows XP product, they will be happy to assist you. If you have an Ubuntu question, we are glad to help! :)

So the problem is the Windows ISO then? The ISO must have just been corrupted when I saved it from the CD then, I'll try again. Sorry to bother you, thanks for your time. :]
