Update Manager fails to update (11.04) 32-Bit

I keep trying to run the update manager but it keeps giving me this error over and over. What does it mean?

run synaptic, switch to repo tab, and select "main server" instead of actual "us.", then update again

Are you actually connected to the Internet? I've got this error before and that's all it was. I wasn't used to having to reconnect to Internet every time I reboot.

sudo apt-get update

and post the errors
