View Full Version : Forget Google+, I want an invite to Diaspora

I would like to sign up for Diaspora, but it, too, appears to be functioning on an invite system.

So, anybody want to share?

Thanks!

I would if all of my content was CC-able, sorry.

I've been on the waiting list for Christ knows how long and still nothing.

Then again, even if I get on I won't know anyone else on there, so it seems a little pointless.

I have a ton of invites. Feel free to PM me for an invite, as I'm certain my friends who haven't joined yet will not be doing so very soon. I'll preserve one each for Docaltmed and Throne777, as they seem to want one.

I got an account because I donated to the project's founding way back when I was first informed- just because I invite you doesn't necessarily make us friends, but we can mutually group each other in a non-personal group or stop sharing at any time, of course. However, I would probably enjoy the posts from people on a Linux forum more than those of most other interest groups.

I'll need your email, but I promise I'll remove it from my history and contact list ASAP.

Wasn't this the one that was a wonderful idea but had hundreds of security problems/exploits?

Haven't heard about the exploits since I don't care enough about it to pay any attention. But I do know it was a kickstarter.com project, so the scam factor is yet to be experienced on the internet I think.
