Hi all, I am new to Ubuntu...using ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Lucid Lynx).
I want to run lampp on my machine.... after extracting the tar.gz file into the opt folder I assigned the permission to 777 with "-R". then started lampp and opened it with localhost from browser. The localhost seems to be ok, phpmysql has shown an error that the cingig file is world writable, then stopped lampp and I changed the permission to 775 with "-R" for phpmyadmin only in to /opt/lampp. then again started the lampp and then phpmyadmin shows that
" Welcome to phpMyadmin
error #2002 - The server is not responding or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured.
connection for controluser as defined in your configuration failed."
I am attaching the print screen .... Please help me anyone..
