View Full Version : [ubuntu] How can I fix this reinstalling problem?

Hey Everybody!

Firs I'm sorry because of my bad English. Than my problem is that I can't reinstall Unbuntu 11.04 on my laptop. I've a laptop with Ubuntu 11.04, but I wanna reisntall it from a pendrive. I did everything well, I mean I used Universal USB Installer and I set everything in BIOS. When I boot from the pendrive it don't do anything, just the Unbutu 11.04 starts. Pleas let me know how i can fix this anoying problem. And I have to say sorry agian because of my Englsih.

just the Unbutu 11.04 starts? thats what its suppose to do and from there you should see the option to install. guess im missing something...

But I can't see the option to install. (I've forgotten to write that I can't boot from CD because the CD-ROM doesn't work. So the only way to boot is the pendrive.) Please help with the reinstalling problem. :(

When Ubuntu is finished booting (which can take some time), do you have an icon on the desktop saying 'Install'?

Unfortunately there is no icon which says ''Istall'' or anything like that. It makes mo so angry, I have no idea, I can't do anything with tish s.it. :(

You could try the alternate ISO. There is a link to it in my signature.

And what is different between your ISO file and the official one?
